There are two ways to start refereeing. If you will be 12 years old by April 1st you can take the Mini Soccer Referee Clinic (details below). When completed you will be able to referee U9 & U10 Mini Soccer games and line 11-aside games.
If you will be 14 or older on the date of the course you can take an Entry Level Clinic. There will be one clinic in Vernon this year (details below) and there are others in the area (Kelowna, Penticton, Kamloops, Salmon Arm). Check www.bcsoccer.net for details and to register.
2012 REFEREE CLINICS
BC Soccer has recently learned that eReferee, where we normally register for courses/refreshers, will no longer be servicing their programs as of March 31st, 2012. They are currently working on a temporary solution and that is why no course information has been posted on the BC Soccer website.
CURRENT REFEREES:Please log-in to eReferee at www.bcsoccer.net and download any of your certificates prior to March 31st.
VERNON COURSES are scheduled for the following dates and this website will be updated when registration becomes available:
Refresher Courses
(for those that have completed the 3-day District Entry-Level including and prior to 2011)
- Thursday March 1, 2012 from 6:00PM - 9:00PM
- Thursday March 8, 2012 from 6:00PM - 9:00PM
- Sunday April 15, 2012 from 3:00PM - 6:00PM
After completing a refresher, you must register with BC Soccer at a cost of $50/person.
District Entry Level Course
(those 14 years or older as of March 31st, 2012)
- Friday April 13 to Sunday April 15, 2012 (** Kelowna, Kamloops and Salmon Arm are hosting courses as well, if this date does not work for you, you can register for one of their courses. I will e-mail more details when registration becomes available). Cost is $125/person.
Small-sided Refresher Course
(for returning small-sided referees who are 13 & younger as of March 31st, 2012)
Dates TBD. Refresher is 2 ½ hours in length. Cost is $20.

MINI SOCCER REFEREE CLINIC

ENTRY LEVEL CLINIC

To Register: All registrations and payments are done directly with BC Soccer
Entry Level Clinics are also scheduled for other venues in the coming weeks. There will be one in Salmon Arm at the end of March. Check the BC Soccer website for details.
ANNUAL REFRESHER
*New* Mini Soccer Refresher. The Refresher is required for all Mini Soccer Referees. It will be held March 2012. The cost is $20, payable at the clinic. To register check back here in early 2012
All Youth, District, Regional and Provincial officials must take a BCSA Refresher course. The Vernon clinics will be on March 13 and March 14. Check www.bcsoccer.net for details and to register. You must register in advance and it can only be done directly with BC Soccer. Be prepared for a fitness test at the Refresher.
